CDI is undertaking a program of research designed to enhance the effectiveness of its engagement with challenges to democratic strengthening in the region, and that of our partners. We are working with democratic practitioners, academics and policy makers to generate an evidence-base of how democratic strengthening occurs in our focus countries and, consequently, how external actors can best support that process.
